What the notice says in plain words
Three points from the Ministry of Education's notice of 15 May 2023 that matter before you look at any school.
- Rule 1
Only listed schools may enrol
The notice states that schools not on the list must not enrol international students in English-taught undergraduate clinical medicine.
- Rule 2
No MBBS certificate off the list
Schools not on the list must not issue an English degree certificate for the programme, or any English degree certificate containing the word “MBBS”.
- Rule 3
“Bilingual” is not a way round
The notice forbids enrolling international students under a “bilingual teaching” model as a disguised form of the English-taught programme.
